Bespoke concrete flying end slabs for a platform extension

Ibstock’s Rail & Infrastructure team recently worked with J Murphy to deliver a series of bespoke flying end slabs as part of a rail scheme near St Pancras. 

The project required four large precast units, each weighing up to seven tonnes, designed specifically for the platform extension. With works scheduled during a rail blockade, our team had to meet a very short lead time — from design through to manufacture and delivery. 

Thanks to our in-house technical expertise and production capacity, we were able to deliver the units on time, ensuring smooth installation and minimal disruption to the wider programme.
