Project description
Two different finishes of high performance Architectural Masonry have been specified for a 10,500 sq. ft. three-unit addition to Ashton Leisure Park, a restaurant and entertainment complex, just west of Aston –under-Lyne in Tameside.
The new single-storey addition at Ashton Leisure Park, owned by Legal & General Property, was designed as a shell space subdivided to accommodate three independent restaurants. To complement the large expanses of glazing across the unit’s external envelope, contractor PDR Construction and architects for the project, Awake Architects specified our Shot-blasted architectural masonry in Ivory and a contrasting horizontal accent band utilising our Splitface blocks in Pewter.
Offering a wide selection of decorative concrete facing blocks, our Architectural Masonry range is an aesthetically effective alternative to the internal or the external leaf of a cavity construction, which creates clean, maintenance free surfaces with either bold uniformity or a variety of colour and bond patterns to brighten even the most functional of environments.
