Our 2023 highlights:

At Ibstock, we have an opportunity as well as a responsibility to address climate change through our value chain to help reshape our future to one that is fairer and more sustainable. A few from our achievements in 2023 include:

Achieved a 37% reduction in absolute carbon emissions (Scope 1 & 2) compared to our 2019 baseline.
Improved carbon emissions by 19% at our Aldridge Factory, advancing sustainability efforts. Learn more.
Earned Gold status with the Supply Chain Sustainability School for our leadership in sustainable practices.
Proud to achieve a B rating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), reflecting our commitment to environmental transparency and action.
Installed electric vehicle charging points at 32 sites, promoting cleaner transportation for our workforce. Learn more.

We have recently invested £10 million into our Aldridge factory.

We will take a test, trial and learn approach, before scaling the right solutions across the wider Ibstock estate, as we play our part in addressing climate change

Restoration at West Hoathly site

Our West Hoathly site ceased production in 2020 and the factory site is being developed for 108 homes by Ashill Regen

Water efficiency

A new rainwater harvesting system was installed at Ibstock’s Concrete factory in Bootle providing 204m3 mains water for the site from April to December 2023.

Over 3,200 bluebells and 350 trees planted in 2023

including our commemorative King Charles III Coronation tree plantation of oak and maple.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging points available at 32 sites

We are also proud to offer electric vehicle (EV) charging points at 32 of our sites, supporting cleaner transportation for our teams.
