Solution:
To restore the arches, the structures were carefully demolished and rebuilt with a reinforced deck and brickwork façade. Collaborating closely with Ibstock, the new façade was constructed using precast pillar sections and segmental fair-faced arches. These arches were cast as single 3-metre wide units, each faced with Ibstock's Cattybrook Cheddar Red brick slips. Matching brickwork infill courses were used to frame each arch, and every intricate detail - including 5mm narrow joints, decorative brick plinths, and bullnose arch trims - was meticulously recreated to reflect the original Victorian design.

This approach ensured the perfect balance between structural integrity and the preservation of Brighton's architectural heritage.
